Cranbrook
Located in southeastern BC, Cranbrook lies in the Rocky Mountain Trench between the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges. With a reported 2228.6 hours of sunshine annually (Environment Canada), Cranbrook has the most sunshine hours of any BC city.
This means great riding for all cyclists. The valley is usually clear of winter snow early in the season and riders get a head start on their riding here compared to some surrounding areas. With the relatively dry climate and the fast draining soil, xc trails come into condition while the snow is still deep on the surrounding peaks.
